Life as a stay-at-home mom never gets boring. No. Let me revise that statement. Life as a stay-at-home mom is simultaneously full of surprises (not always the good kind) yet fraught with repetition. Sometimes the only adult I talk to in person is myself. And I ask myself the same questions every day.
- Do I smell poo? (Follow up questions: From where or from whom is the smell emanating? Is it in gaseous, solid or liquid form?)
- Is that wet spot pee, sweat, drool, breastmilk or just water?
- When was the last time I showered?
- Is everyone wearing shoes?
- How many hours till bedtime?
- How is it only 9 am?
- How is it already midnight?
- Is it too soon to make another coffee?
- Where’s my phone?
- How can I love these babies* so much?
- How can these babies* make me so mad?
- What harm can one more episode do?
- What did I go upstairs for?
- What’s my password for this?
- How have I lost my phone again?
