10- Season 11 of The X-Files.
Give me my Mulder. Give me my Scully. Bring me back to the world of The X-Files and I am a happy, happy X-Phile.
9- Buying our much-needed mini van.
We were planning on a mini van at some point, but baby three being babies three and four means we need it sooner than expected!
8- Giving birth to twins.
And yes, specifically the labour and birthing part. I liked giving birth to my first two, if I’m being totally honest. I am so eager to experience birthing twins! I look forward to my midwife being able to attend, even though the primary care provider will be my Ob.
7- The moment my kids meet their new brothers.
I just don’t know how they’ll react! I can’t wait to see!
6- The moment we all pile into the minivan for the first time … without too many disasters.
The start of a brand-new journey into uncharted territory for us as parents.
5- My postpartum recovery done right, as in, doing nothing for as long as I can.
I pushed myself to do way too much, way too fast after my first two births. I have promised myself to take it easy this time and to just bask in the glow of my new babies and let my husband and mom do the heavy lifting.
4- Summertime adventures and visits.
Hopefully we’ll make a road-trip to BC this summer so my twins can meet the extended family!
3- Fitting into normal pants again.
I don’t think any of my maternity jeans or leggings are going to get me all the way to delivery … I think I’m going to be traipsing about in men’s sweatpants near the end. (That’s what I wear at home now already!)
2- My daughter starting preschool.
I love the teachers, I love the program, I can’t wait for my daughter to start learning more French and start discovering her independence.
1- Celebrating our first Christmas as a family of six.
We won’t be travelling over Christmas for many years I don’t think: the weather won’t allow us to get far by van and we are adamant that flying with four is something we want to put off as long as possible. So we’ll have a quiet (likely not very quiet) Christmas at home in 2018!
