Last May, The Monarch Mommy and Maman Loup’s Den teamed up to hold a fundraising auction to raise funds for the victims of the Fort McMurray wildfire. The response was overwhelming: we raised nearly $5000 for the Canadian Red Cross.
You can have a look at last year’s auction album here.
This year, we’ve decided to hold another Fluffraiser, this time with proceeds benefiting the NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank. Stefanie & Lindsay are both breast milk donors and hope to raise awareness about Canada’s only community-based milk bank!
The auction will run February 27-March 1.
How it works:
- Sponsors offer an item up for auction by filling out the form below.
- Items are posted in the auction album in our Fluffraiser Facebook group at the start of the auction (the group currently has 500+ members).
- Bidders comment on items with their bid (like a silent auction, but on Facebook).
- Winning bidders will donate the amount of their final bid directly to Northernstar, submitting their donation confirmation to the sponsor as proof so that the sponsor can send them their item!
About NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank:
NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank is Canada’s only community-based milk bank. Operating as a charitable organization, NorthernStar screens breastfeeding mothers, accepting donations of excess milk from approved donors to be pasteurized in our laboratory. Milk is then dispensed to sick babies in hospitals and at home. We believe, and science supports, that human milk is the best option for any baby and that all babies have the right to the life-saving nutrients of pasteurized donor human milk.
If you’d like to bid, or just watch the action, make sure you join the Fluffraiser Facebook Group!
Use the form embedded below or click here to sign up! All information must be received by February 22 to guarantee your participation!
If you have any questions, email us at Fluffraiser@gmail.com!
