It’s no secret around here that I’m a big fan of AppleCheeks diapers for Cub. I’m also a big fan of Natasha at The Baby Footprint, and when she approached me to review a SURPRISE AppleCheeks exclusive product… I said yes before I even knew what it was. When she asked me what colour AppleCheeks swim diaper we had… I definitely had an inkling of what was coming!
That’s right, Natasha’s AppleCheeks exclusive is swim shirts to match four of AppleCheeks’ swim diaper colours:

Cub’s AppleCheeks swimmer is Totally Twilight, so he received the matching swim shirt in size 18-24 months. The most important thing to know when you’re choosing your size is that they are sized large. As you see, Cub still has room to grow into his swim shirt, and he normally wears a size 3T.
We’ve never used a long-sleeve swim shirt before, and there’s no denying that Cub inherited my cappuccino, burn-resistant skin, so I wasn’t sure it was something we needed. But then, I discovered that Cub has decided that sunscreen is the worst thing ever. So I’ve decided that an adorable swim shirt that matches his swim diaper and covers his arms and his neck… it’s the best thing ever! I think Cub agrees:
According to Natasha’s site: The swim shirts are made by NoZone and Peak Apparel with fabrics rated UPF 50+ by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA), which means they block out 97% or more of both UVA and UVB solar rays. No zinc or other chemicals are used to achieve this protection: 100% of sun protection comes from the weave of the fabric. The shirts are highly chlorine and salt resistant fabrics for years of trouble-free use.
As far as I’m concerned, this shirt is going to be our summer water-fun staple. I can sneak sunscreen on his legs at diaper change, then know his neck, arms, belly and back are protected by his AppleCheeks swim shirt! (And, thankfully, he wears a hat very willingly for face and ear protection!)
