I consider myself pretty lucky to be purchasing Christmas gifts for four generations of family members! Even luckier still to know that Marie-Pier at Rainbows & Lollipops Art had my back for the 90+ crowd right down to the less-than-9-months-old crowd!
I’ve written before about Marie-Pier’s impeccable customer service and willingness to humour my complete lack of “colour matchy-matchy” skills. Her wall art is fully customizable, and if you are colour-challenged like myself, you can have faith in whatever Marie-Pier suggests for you!
For the newborn baby
One of Rainbows & Lollipops’ flagship products is the “Birth Stats Print.” It’s the perfect memento for the new baby in your life, combining her name and vitals at birth in a whimsical design to match her nursery. I sent Marie-Pier a photo of my cousin’s son’s bedroom and said “can you include a bear?” The result is perfect and will go in a dark mahogany frame:
For the toddlers or a bit older children on your list, check out her “Bathroom Rules” trio, which I have for Cub!
For the sister (in-law)
There’s a funky kitchen-themed print for every gal you love at Rainbows & Lollipops. My sister-in-law is the best baker I know, and her weapon of choice is her stand mixer. I am so thrilled with the colour combo, for which I am only moderately responsible:
I also hope to be responsible for my brother getting Michael Jackson stuck in his head every time he goes into his kitchen.
For grandma
My Mom is about the least grandma-like grandmother on the block. She has been mistaken for my sister and she is always a couple steps ahead of me fashion-wise. Her home is her palace and her interior decorating skills put Martha to shame. In the summer, the house takes on a tasteful nautical theme. (The pillow shams have a seasonal rotation, as do many small art pieces.) I chose this nautical trio for her to put up when the weather turns warmer. For great-grandma
My Nana is most definitely the grandmotherly type- she’s had a whole extra generation of practice, after all! While I didn’t inherit my mother’s sense of style, I definitely inherited my Nana’s love for a good cuppa. When we chat on the phone, one or both of us is usually enjoying a recent brew.
I’m pretty sure in our future conversations, she’ll tell me, “I was just looking at that lovely picture you gave me at Christmas.”
