It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the ladies at Öko Créations: I’ve already written about their hemp inserts for cloth diapers and their hemp washable menstrual pads. Their hemp inserts are the only ones I use in my pocket diapers and their pads are the ones I grab first in my mama cloth stash. It may come as no surprise that any other baby bath towels have been relegated to rags now that we have this magnificent bath poncho hanging in our bathroom!
As soon as he’s out of the bathtub, Cub is off running; with or without his towel. The poncho, slipped quickly over his head (you can snap the poncho closed under the arms… if you’re fast enough) keeps him warm as he bounds about the house in his post-bath frenzy. He has a larger-than-average head, and the hood still fits great!
It’s the cutest thing ever. It’s also made of thick organic cotton terry and made not in some far away factory but in a workshop in Laval, QC: just a stone’s throw away from me!
The very first time Cub wore the poncho was after a post-haircut full-body rinse (he refused to wear the hair dresser’s cape). He was so exhausted that I nursed him, diapered him and….
… this happened. He was so snuggled in his warm, fluffy bath poncho that he fell asleep!
