Now, before you panic, I don’t park my 17-month-old in front of the iPad all day. I searched for apps that he would enjoy on our cross-country plane ride. I wanted games that he could manage, even with his limited dexterity, and that didn’t require sound to function. I stumbled upon Lazoo Zoo, and it was a hit!
In the zoo there are different animals, and chubby fingers get to select different foods to feed them. The animals all react differently, depending on what is fed. Kids can even design their own “food” to feed, and this special food remains in the game.
Cub is able to operate the game on his own, so he doesn’t get frustrated. It kept him occupied on the plane, and when we need to switch up our activities during the day, it’s a great little game we can play together!
Best of all? It’s a freebie! It doesn’t have any ads and there are no in-app purchases to worry about.
If your tot is always hitting random buttons on your iPhone or iPad, check out my post on how to “lock” features!
