I have a confession. I am not entirely certain what is in those containers in my freezer. I am pretty sure you’re looking at apple sauce, soup and pumpkin chunks… but the last time we cleaned out our freezer, it wasn’t until defrosting that we identified certain items! I really love making big batches of soups, sauces and smoothies to freeze for later, and I have tried using masking tape or blank Avery address labels to mark my containers… but honestly my usual strategy is to “remember” what I’ve frozen. Most of the time I don’t remember what day it is, let alone whether I pureed carrots or squash last month. The most dangerous unlabelled items were my soap nuts tea versus vegetable boullion… let’s just say that until you defrost and start seeing bubbles, these two things look identical.
I’ve recently discovered Love Bug Labels, and I’m excited to try out their Date It! Labels:
These labels are dishwasher & microwave safe and reusable. All of my jam jars have gross, shredded, sticky globs on them from my previous labeling attempts, so a dishwasher-safe option is genius!
For $14.95 (and you can save 10% with my coupon code: LindsayGLB1) you get 30 labels (10 Large, 10 Medium and 10 Small) and you can choose from 5 different designs.
Stay tuned for a review once I receive my first set!
So, what’s in your freezer?!

Mmm… chicken soap. 😉 Love that it’s reusable labels! I’ve had some fun freezer disasters myself.

Oh how I hate that. I shop for my meat on a monthly basis and sometimes by the middle of the month I look and think oh steak tips only to realize it is something else once it defrosts and have to redo my meal plan for that day. When I was making purees that was always fun too, is this peas or green beans? Avocado?
