Maman Loup’s Interview on CBC Montreal’s Day Break

So as described in my two previous posts, I have been trying to contact my municipal candidates about getting a cloth diaper subsidy for my borough, Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Yesterday, I was interviewed by Day Break’s Mike Finnerty about my lack of success getting answers from my three main candidates. It was so much fun to go in to the studio and sit beside the “voices” I hear every morning! The best part was seeing how they gesture and look at each other while reporting, even though the public doesn’t actually see them. I loved the behind the scenes look, and I love that my interview attracted the attention of someone from Melanie Joly’s team. Unfortunately, I don’t have a Joly candidate in my district, but I can still vote for her as Montreal’s mayor.

I spoke to a representative from Equipe Melanie Joly yesterday morning who promised to bring my ideas about curbside compost pick up and a cloth diaper subsidy to her team. I will definitely be following up with her, regardless of who wins Sunday’s elections.

Check out my interview, and, Montrealers, let’s bring up that 35% voter turn out this year!
