I love giving handmade gifts for Christmas! It means I’m supporting small business, and it means my gifts are more unique than the run-of-the-mill Babies-R-Us fare.
My cousin’s son, whom I will be meeting for the first time at Christmas, is the lucky recipient of a Maple Hardwood Teething Ring Set and Bibdana from BC-based Sweet Little Baby Cakes.
Cub was born around the same time of year as his second cousin, so I know that around Christmas, stuff started going in the mouth and drool started flowing (and hasn’t stopped).
Sweet Little Baby Cakes teething rings are made of a maple hardwood ring finished with organic beeswax and olive oil. The ring has bunny ears knotted on to it made of 100% cotton quilting fabric and backed with terry cloth. You know that fabric is going to get soaked, so included is a second set of bunny ears!
So that you can transport your teethers in your purse or diaper bag without them getting coated in crumbs or touching your keys, you also get a sweet little lined drawstring bag.
Cub’s perma-accessory for his first year of life was a bib to protect his clothes from his perma-drool. I’m hoping my cousin loves bibdanas as a functional and adorable baby accessory as much as I did! The bibdana is reversible and matches the teething set!
The bibdana is lined with bamboo batting to absorb some of that drool rather than soaking right through. It has two snaps closures to get the right fit around your little one’s neck.
I can’t wait to give this Sweet Little Baby Cakes gift to my first-cousin-once-removed, aka, my cousin’s son. (I had to look that up, it hurt my brain.)
What are you giving to the wee ones on your list?
