For a Mommy Blogger focused on cloth diapers, I definitely live in the right province. I’d like to think that Quebec is the Canadian cloth-diaper-manufacturing mecca. Two of the biggest names in cloth diapering, Bummis and AppleCheeks, are headquartered in my very city (Montréal). Not only are the companies based here, but most of their products are also, as Bummis likes to say, MADE HERE.
Most Bummis products are made less than an hour from my home, in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Bummis co-owner, Betsy Thomas, and I did an interview for CBC new last year about the importance of shopping local and manufacturing local. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with Betsy on the Great Cloth Diaper Change!
Most AppleCheeks products are made even closer to me, in a workshop in the east end of Montréal. Although we haven’t met in person, Ilana and I have chatted via Facebook about bringing a cloth diaper subsidy to our respective boroughs of the city.
To celebrate products made and brands based in La Belle Province, Bummis & AppleCheeks are offering a Maman Loup reader the chance to win:
- Bummis Flannel Fitted & Simply Lite cover ($50)
- 1 AppleCheeks Microterry Little Bundle ($24)
To find out more about these great prizes, you can check out my review of the Simply Lite cover and find out how AppleCheeks overtook my stash! I’ve also recently published a review of the flannel fitted, as well as one of Bummi’s new overnight diaper, the Dimple Diaper.
Giveaway is open to Canadian and American residents. Please see the Giveaway Tools form for full terms & conditions.
