This post is in no way sponsored by Carriwell. I scored this awesome bra for $1.99 at Value Village! If you aren’t so lucky, they’re on sale til Sunday March 23 at Well.ca.
I recently looked into reviewing a nursing bra from Hot Milk. I was psyched to see that attractive, Victoria Secret-esque styles were available for nursing Mamas. I was less psyched to observe that such glamorous products were not available for me, the President of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee.
Don’t get me wrong, things definitely expanded for the first 6 months of exclusive breast feeding. But even the small reduction in nursing that accompanied our transition to baby-led weaning was enough to reduce my cup size!
Now nursing my 18 month old, the ladies have returned to their normal, diminutive size, but I still like wearing a nursing bra. When this one is in the wash, I’m wearing sports bras. Though I doubt I’ll score another Carriwell at VV, I’m going to buy myself a couple more at full price so I’m not always scrambling to do the laundry! (When a second Cub arrives, I’ll probably need the next size up for a while, much to my husband’s delight.)
My Carriwell bra is beyond comfortable— up until recently, due to leaking overnight, I was still sleeping with a bra on. And all women know: sleeping in a bra isn’t comfy. This bra is about as comfy as you can get, even wearing it 24/7!
I despise underwire and I love a no-lines look under my clothes, so, chances are I will keep wearing this bra long after breast feeding is over.
